We were keeping Sherry as a show female with the hope of breeding from her. She did well but is quite small for an NFC and as she has an adorable temperament, she would thrive as a pet.
When I first migrated to Australia from the UK, I brought with me my pet, Sherry, a longhaired auburn/black domestic. It has been many years since Sherry passed on, but I miss her still. So when Nerys' kitten Xaviera turned out to be a black, I decided to name her after Sherry, so this is her 'pet name'. She has a lovely temperament and lives with her good friend, Vanessa. They will both be future Borealis queens.
