My first Norwegian Forest Cat was a lovely bue silver tabby and white called Firecrystal Prins Ymir, so when I bred Byron, I wanted to continue the tradition of having one of these prettily coloured cats as a stud.

Some 'silver' coats (white at the roots) are notoriously soft and tangle easily, but Byron has a good coarse quality to his water-resistant coat and is throwing it in his kittens.
